Married to an Unbelieving Spouse: Shine Your Light

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By Angie Lewis Dont Think You Can Change Your Spouse A popular misnomer in society is people think that after theyre married they can change the things they dont like about their spouse. But this is incorrect thinking to begin with. We cannot change anyone other than ourselves, and to try causes numerous problems within the marriage. If you cannot accept who you are going to marry, dont get married! It is possible though, to influence an unbelieving spouse through your virtuous actions and then they may change on their own free will. But a person needs to accept God on their own time frame. Dont Get Discouraged Never give up hope that one day your spouse will find wisdom, knowledge and truth for his life like you have. Your good attitude is what brings the light in front of your unbelieving spouse, and helps them to understand the great mysteries of the unseen and spiritual world. Be their light and let it shine bright always. Your light is the greatest influence of them all. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven. Matthew 5:16 Dont Be Critical or Self Righteous Try not to become critical of your spouse. When you play the self righteous martyr act you will actually pull them further away from God. Be perceptive and understanding as much as you possibly can, even if they dont or wont accept your faith. Your spouse knows they have faults and they need to be ready to give those faults up, not you. Be Patient Patience is a virtue. I know this can be difficult to do at times, but you have to let them be their own judge, which brings them aware of their sin, and hopefully closer to God. You are not your spouses judge and executioner, on the contrary, you are a part of the person you married, and therefore you ought to make every effort to help them become free of their life of sinful bondage through your support of them. How do you know wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know husband, whether you will save your wife? 1 Corinthians 7:16 Be Encouraging How can we encourage those we love to come into the light with us? Understand that you cannot make anyone do anything that they dont want to do. All you can do is be true to yourself at all times and in all situations. Continue to walk your talk in life; be a righteous example, not a self righteous example. This in itself gets others to see what a good life you have and from there, it is their turn to accept it or not. A. Build up your spouse with encouraging words. Find a quality you appreciate about your spouse and tell them about it. B. Be patient with your spouse. This by far is probably one of the hardest things to do because they may be sinning in some way against the marriage and that can hurt. But remember we are not looking to pull our spouse further away from the light but to bring them into the light by our acts of kindness and consideration. Shine your light. C. Continue to stay faithful to God no matter what. Dont become tempted with your spouse. The good life is not lived on our own terms but is lived through the power of God and on His standards. D. Be joyful and happy knowing that God is with you and He is in control. Never give up. If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. 1 Corinthians 7:12-14 Angie Lewis is the author of three marriage books offering marriage enlightenment tips and wisdom filled answers tackling such issues as adultery, pornography, emotions, beliefs, feelings, marriage, children, forgiveness, communication, submission and spiritual influence in the home. The Wedding Planner

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By Andrea Britt A wedding planner is an individual that you will hire that will take care of the basic planning of your wedding. Is this person to be trusted to handle each and every aspect of your wedding? How will you know that this person is going to know what you want and will they stick to your budget? It is often a scary thought to think that you will not have a handle in each step of the wedding process if you hire a wedding planner, but you will have amazing results if you find the right planner! What They Do The wedding planner is hired to handle virtually every aspect of the wedding celebration. In most cases, they will help you to make choices and help you find the right wedding service providers for your wedding. They will help to maintain a balance in what is happening, when it is happening, who is doing it and how much its going to cost. They will manage the overall function of the wedding, making sure that everything goes as planned from the beginning to the end. But dont worry, most of the time the wedding planner works under your direction. You will communicate to them your needs and desires and he or she will make sure that it happens. You will be able to have your say in what you want, within reason of course. Youll be able to follow through on their happenings as well. Dont forget, its you writing the checks so youll always make the final decision. How to Choose a Wedding Planner The hardest part of having a wedding planner is choosing one. It is important that you find someone that you like, trust and have confidence in. Youll need to put a whole lot of trust in them to handle your wedding day celebration since this is the only time that you will be getting married and you want it to be perfect. Look for these characteristics in your wedding planner. Are they easy to communicate with? This is very important as you need them to be able to do what you want, understand what you want and to tell you when something is going wrong. A wedding is not a time in your life that surprises are a good thing. Can they accommodate for your tastes and preferences? It is quite important for the wedding planner to be on the same page as you are. Sit and look through a wedding magazine with the prospective planners. Discuss the pictures of weddings in the magazine and get an idea if your tastes line up. What aspects of the wedding will they cover and how much say so are you going to have in the wedding planning? This is completely up to your discretion here. But make sure that they understand what you expect them you handle solo and which elements of planning you want to be involved with personally. Are you comfortable with them? You need to be able to be comfortable with the individual you choose since you will be spending the next few months with them. Make sure that you like them! Planning a wedding can be a great deal of fun, but there are also frequently many stressful times as well. If they even annoy you a little bit at the beginning, chances are theyll drive you nuts by the end. All of these things can help your wedding to go smoother. The wedding planner is a tool that no wedding should be without! Corporate Flight Attendant Career: Getting Hired

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Matthew Keegan So, youve made it through the interview process and have received an offer of an employment. Congratulations! However, there are some things to consider before accepting or rejecting an offer of employment. How you reply to these questions will determine whether the job offer is really worth it: Is this a full time, part time, temporary, or contract position? As obvious as it seems, you may be getting an offer different from what you originally applied. Try to get in writing the official offer — if it involves heavy-duty legal language consider contacting an employment specialist or an attorney for guidance. Will you be paid hourly, per diem, by the job, or by an hourly salary? How many hours are you expected to work? Does the company pay overtime? Bonuses? Profit Sharing? Is this position with a “91″ operator [meaning lengthy crew duty days] or with a 135 operator [with limited duty days]? Will you be a flight attendant? A cabin attendant? A host/hostess? Titles make a difference because the level of pay and training will depend on how high the position is. Will your new company pay for initial and recurrent training, i.e., FACTS or FlightSafety? Do they even require it? What other training is offered? What will your benefits be? Will you have full health and dental coverage? Will you be covered under an HMO, PPO, POS, or some other plan? Is your company self insured, i.e. they arent utilizing the services of a health care provider, but paying as they go? What portion of the insurance costs will you pay? What are the caps on insurance? Are prescriptions covered? How about family members are they covered? What sort of retirement plan is offered? 401(k)? Traditional pension plan? No plan? Can you afford to work for the salary offered and be responsible for your own retirement? How much vacation days will you receive? Paid holidays? Hard days vs. soft days? Personal and sick days? Will the company reimburse you for education expenses? Eyeglasses? Out of pocket expenses? Will they provide a cellular phone, laptop computer, or PDA? What other miscellaneous benefits are offered? How is catering handled? Aircraft supplies? Uniforms? Will you have to pay for it and seek reimbursement? How long does it take to be reimbursed? Does the company offer cash advances? Will you be given a company credit card? What types of hotels do crewmembers stay in? Be prepared to seek an upward adjustment in the salary offer if you believe that the offer is too low or if you will have to pay more out of your own pocket for benefits than what is customary. Other considerations: Exactly whom will you be reporting to? What is the companys policy on promotions? On layoffs (severance, notice, etc.) To whom can you go to if a problem arises? What is Anxiety? & How Can I Find Support?

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Joanne King Panic attacks, also known as anxiety attacks are a moment that suddenly occurs causing a period of intense fear. The symptoms a sufferer can feel vary from nausea, sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, sensations of choking and heart palpitations. Although attacks come suddenly, seemingly unprovoked they can often be triggered by phobias. Panic attacks not only have physical symptoms, they also cause psychological distress that can be emotionally draining. The feelings a person has when suffering a panic attack can go as far as a fear of dying and a strong urge to escape the situation or place they are when the attack happens. Am I Alone Many sufferers feel alone and dont even tell their friends or family what they are feeling. It is reported that 1 in 60 people in the U.S will have a panic attack in their lifetime, thats roughly 6 million people. Panic disorder has been traced in family history but other factors do have an important part, such as your environment and stress. Support Support from family and friends can play a pivotal role in speeding up recovery times. If a friend or family member is there at the time of an attack, having knowledge of the issue could help them dispel your fears. Methods in treating the symptoms include writing day by day about your feelings and how you deal with them. Relaxing techniques such as breathing exercises, yoga and physical exercise can also help. All of these ideas to help support you are stress management skills that can help you through those difficult moments. Remember you are not alone, many people understand the feelings you are going through and there is a lot of support out there to help you. Free sign up of our newsletter! Believing

Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Mellody Davis It is written in Proverbs 14:2 There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to death. It is also written in Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. This leads me to the question. Who or what shall I believe. Lets look at what the Bible says about believing. In the book of John 6:28 it says Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires? Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. Look at John 3:18 it says Whoever believes in him is not condemned whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not belived in the name of Gods one and only Son. This is the verdict; Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God. Living in righteous is believing in Jesus. It says in the book of Romans 3:22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunishedhe did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Now look at Romans 10:9 it says That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentilethe same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! Now look at Romans 16:17 it says I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in you way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving the Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of nave people. Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. It goes on to say at verse 25 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey himto the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen There is a punishment for those dont believe. It says in the book 2Thessalonians 2:9 it says The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at Gods command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:1 In the book of James 2:18 it says But someone will say You have faith; I have deeds. Show me you faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe thatand shudder. It says in John 1:10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in is name, he gave the right to become children of Godchildren born not of natural descent, nor of human decisions or a husbands will, but born of God. Now in John 2:22 it says Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. In the book of Galatians 3:6 it saysConsider Abraham: He believed God, and it was a credited to him as righteousness. Understand , then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance Abraham; All nations will be blessed through you. So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. In the book of James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him a righteousness, and he was called Gods friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. What a Blessing For Believing It is written in the book of Mark 9:23 it says If you can? Said Jesus, Everything is possible for him who believes. It says in Mark 11:22 Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, Go , throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believe that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Now look at Mark 16:16 it says Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Now take a look at Matthew 5:11 it says Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. In the book of Ephesians 1:3 it says Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and willto the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. At Ephesians 2:6 it says And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. Too conclude look at 1Peter 2:17 it says Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king. Now look at John 20:31 it says But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Your Grand Entrance To Your Reception - Why Be Normal?

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Rob Alberti If you dont want to do formal introductions, but still want some sort of grand entrance, then what can you do? We have had several couples in the past that wanted to do something unique. This is what weve come up with as a solution: the GRAND MARCH. We wont introduce each member of the bridal party or your parents. We will simply find a song that you like, bring up the volume, and have all of you march in procession into the room. Typically we will bring the wedding couple right out onto the dance floor and into your first dance after the GRAND MARCH. Other times, we will do a BUTLER STYLE TOAST and have the banquet staff hand out champagne glasses on serving trays (instead of placing them at table settings). All your guests will circle the dance floor with their champagne glasses in hand. We will introduce you into the center of the dance floor with all your family and friends close by. Then the best man comes forward for the toast, which flows right into your first dance, with family and friends still circling nearby at the edge of the dance floor. It is a very unique and personal feel to the introductions and toast. You can swing to the other extreme and have separate songs for each person or couple and your DJ/MC can say a quick sentence or two about each person. This is a great way to personalize an otherwise boring anouncment of names. Many times, this is refered to as a “Love Story Introduction”. You can mention how your cousin in the wedding party saved you from drowning as a child or that your Maid of Honor has been your college roomate for the last 6 years. Your DJ/MC can even tell a little story about how the two of you met and a brief history of your dating one another. Ask your professional DJ about these options at your wedding reception. Rob Alberti, owner of After Hours DJ Service (http://www.afterhoursdj.net) and proud member of The DJ Network (http://www.thedjnetwork.com) has been a wedding entertainment specialist for over 20 years. Why A Student Car Loan Is a Damn Good Idea

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Shana_Shane]Shana Shane Car loans are the loans that are used for financing the purchase of a car, paying whose price in cash is not quite affordable because of the huge tags of price attached to them. People take loans for financing cars, which they find as the best way of buying a car, because disposing such big amounts at a time is not very feasible for any average individual. Only very few people, with strong bank balances can afford to buy cars by paying in cash. But the best way of financing purchase of cars is by grabbing car loans, which are much more accessible and also involve low interest rates and easy installments. Are you looking for some inside information on STUDENTS CAR LOAN:? Here’s an up-to-date report from STUDENTS CAR LOAN: experts who should know. Think about what you’ve read so far. Does it reinforce what you already know about STUDENTS CAR LOAN:? Or was there something completely new? What about the remaining paragraphs? Students are supposed to be the soft targets for all producers in the market. But still, the automobile industry which is supposed to be the widest spread industry in the whole world market has failed to capitalize on the so called softness exhibited by the students to the other products available in the market. The main reason being the huge amount of money that the students will have to invest, even though, they have no source of income against their name. However, time has changed. Now at all if any student is seeking or looking out for an easier means to buy a car, he has an available option with him. Just apply for a student car loan. Car loans have a proper procedure, which the individual needs to understand before choosing for the car loan that suits to him. It involves a complete process, where the individual needs to be thorough about the things; he is going to indulge into and should collect all the details regarding the loan of the car. Students face a lot of problem, when they avail the services of public transportation. The use of public transport by students, to go and study, proves and comes out pretty hectic for them. But then, they have no choice as its usually pretty impossible on the students part to avail or get a new car for their transportation purpose only. However, as for now they can relax and avail the car, just by applying for a students car loan. Moreover, its not just the capital part in which the student car loans tend to help out students. Students car loans have other distinct advantages too. Not only does the student car loan help out students financially, but they also contribute to the students credit history. If a student avails a student car loan , then ultimately his no-credit history gradually turns out to be a positive indicating one, because every payment made by the student gets reported to the credit rating agencies, and thereby adds up to the students credit rating, positively. And, thinking more practically, it eliminates all the transportation headaches that the student had to undergo, for reaching to their place of study. Moreover, in case of a student car loan the students have to make no capital payments in the beginning to the loan lending agencies, as a car loan is actually a kind of a secured loan. This implies that the loan agencies are secured by the very fact that even if the student is not able to repay the loan, then at least they can have the car of the student back. And moreover three is no problem, even if the student has a bad credit history, as the loan agency has the car as a security to take from the defaulting student. Thus, we see that the student car loan has made it much and more easy on the part of the students to avail a car for themselves. This article’s coverage of the information is as complete as it can be today. But you should always leave open the possibility that future research could uncover new facts. The consumers of these loans must be very careful, they should not believe on the fake advertisements that are been published and displayed now and then to attract more and more consumers. The consumer should check into these commercials thoroughly before they settle down on things, because these commercials are usually false and are no way real. These loans involve high down payments and also immense high rates, which make them really impossible for the customers. Tooth - Organ Relationships: Tooth 4, 5, 12, and 13 Upper First and Second Bicuspids

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Dennis Raney Abstract: There is a little known but important connection between individual teeth and specific organs of the body. This connection is related to the meridians used by acupuncturists. A knowledgeable practitioner will attempt to determine if the source problem is with the tooth or the organ. Sometimes a serious organ problem can be resolved by the treatment or extraction of the related tooth. Other times, the organ is the source and nothing done to the teeth will help until the organ problem has been resolved. This information is offered as educational information only. It is not intended to be used by the reader as diagnostic data nor should any form of treatment be initiated based solely on the information contained here. — Dr, Dennis Raney, ND, author. The number 4, 5, 12 and 13 Upper First and Second Bicuspids Teeth number 4 and 5 are on the right side of the body and generally affect organs on the right side, while numbers 12 and 13 are on the left and generally affects organs on that side. Sometimes there is a bleed-over that causes some pain on the left for a tooth on the right, for instance, but generally, the practitioner will need to know as nearly exact as possible which side has the pain or, in the case of wisdom teeth, whether it is an upper or a lower tooth. You dont want to have a tooth pulled from the left side, for instance, if the one affected is actually on the right side. Hispanic Market Reality and Purchasing Power

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Lance Winslow How many Hispanic people live in the US currently. Well there are 35.2 million who are here legally and have 100% undebatable legal rights. Of that 35 million; 59.8% were born here or 21.1 million. There are 40.2% here legally who were foreign born or 14.1 million. That is a hell of a lot of potential customers, isn’t it? You could actually have a business and only cater to the Hispanic Crowd to stay in business, think about it? There are Women only clothing businesses, then there are businesses that only cater to over weight women, with large sizes, which you may say limits your market, right? Is it just that we in the automotive business are so darn lucky to have a business that has more cars than people in it? Did you know in some states there are 2.2 cars for every man, woman and child? CA is one of them. For every kid there is a police car, school bus, Fed Ex van USPS jeep, think about it. Cars, boats, motor homes, motorcycles, etc. everywhere on every street all needing oil changes, wow. There is an interesting book that you should read if you do not comprehend what I am saying here; “The Hispanic Middle Class Comes of Age” and also read; “Latinos INC.: The Marketing and Making of a People” BY Arlene Davila. Also if you think I am blowing smoke, then you have not been paying attention, check out this web site, they are serious and hungry and they are well on their way to showing us how to pursue our own American Dreams; http://www.hispanicbusiness.com Did you know that of the 59.8% of the 35 million Hispanic US Born Citizens 68.7% cannot write or even read in Spanish. Sure they can speak parts of it, but do not kid your self they are as American as the rest of us. After all the largest part of our melting pot came here between 1890s and 1960s. 45% of these people speak English only at home. Only 8.8% speak only Spanish at home, do you get my point so far? 37.7% speak both at home, comfortable with both and can easily assist you if they are in your shop as a foreman or manager, Thus proving why they are able to move up to middle class so fast, you need them and they need you. We need not self-segregate, since the strength of this nation is all about melting and working together. In ages of 14-24 57% do prefer to speak English. The average Hispanic individual spends 17 hours a week watching all English TV, 16 hours a week listening to all English radio, 5 hours reading English media, magazines, ads, newspapers and Auto Traders? Out of the 197.1 million Internet users 17.6 are Hispanic. 8.1 Billion in online sales annually come from Hispanic buyers. Bilingual Hispanic consumers spend are you ready for this? 398 Billion a year. English only Hispanic consumers 88 Billion, Spanish only speaking Hispanic consumers 43 Billion. What about the future? The Hispanic segment with their strong and close family ties reproduce faster than any other group, nearly 3xs the number as other segments and in 10 years these expenditures are expected to double and then in 15 years quadruple. So think about what this means in terms of your business growth, labor force and future market competitors. Pay attention, do not neglect your customers, their needs or their money flow. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board.
