What Makes a Man Fall in Love

Monday, January 21st, 2008

By David Zinczenko Think of a great relationship as though it were a great meal: A delicious, meaty steak of sexual passion accompanied by a fine, delicate wine of romance and commitment. Both of us want it all — the perfect, satisfying course. And we need both — steak by itself is dry and unsatisfying; and wine will get you tipsy, but it won’t satisfy your hunger. Now, before the metaphor police revoke my license, let me simply push this analogy a little further: Men are a little more focused on the meat of the relationship, and women a bit more on the wine. But both sexes want to get up from the table completely satisfied. Need evidence? More than three-fourths of men believe in soul mates (see above). And when we asked our guys to choose between meeting the love of their life or having amazing sex for six months, 92 percent chose falling in love. (The other 8 percent were probably Maxim readers.) Consider what these three men said about the experience of falling in love: “We need to feel love, loyalty, and chemistry above all else,” says Ian, 31. “Men also feel the butterflies and giddiness that women do when they’re in love,” says Robert, 26. “Women don’t realize most guys are in love long before they are willing to admit it to anyone,” says Drew, 30. So why then does it always seem like women are leading the relationship toward commitment, and men need to be dragged along like a preschooler to a dentist appointment? Because in the early-on Stratego game of dating, we need to see where you’re moving first. Consider this: Less than half of men say they’re typically the first ones to say “I love you” in a relationship, and more women than men initially broach the subject of taking the relationship to the next level. That points to the notion that what men really want when it comes to love is your assurance — your permission, really — that it’s okay to let the butterflies out of the cage. Michael, 37, a restaurant owner in North Carolina, says he’s cautious about expressing himself early on — not because he’s complacent or wants to play games or wants to make the woman squirm like a mouse in a cat’s mouth. He holds back because he’s waiting to get the signal that it’s okay to press the accelerator. “I love to hear that I’m her dream come true, or some version of that, if that’s the case,” he says. “I need a little praise and attention, just as much as she needs it from me. That’s the sign I need. Then, I know I can give her what she needs.” Chris, 29, a recently married public defender, agrees. “Men need to be told that they’re wanted,” he says. “Women forget that if they like a nice guy, that the nice guy might be too nervous to tell them what he feels.” And then he added this interesting insight: “Women need to be more open to being hurt the way guys are every day.” Hold on a second. Guys are hurt more often than women? Hmm. Think about it: In the romance game, it’s usually the man who makes the first move (usually after you’ve dropped him countless hints waiting for him to finally pick up on them). But in doing so, men open themselves up to more rejection than a telemarketing trainee. And believe me, even George Clooney has a psychic master list of turn-downs that he still winces over from time to time. So once a man has crossed that first barrier — okay, you like him, it’s safe — he’s reluctant to cross the next. Like monkeys in a lab, we’ve been shocked plenty of times before, and if we’re in a safe place with you, we’re happy simply to stay there. So it’s a delicate balance — a woman needs to signal that it’s okay for him to take the next step, without making him feel as if he’s being pushed toward it. Let him know that you feel there’s something really special between you. Let him know it’s okay if he lets himself feel that, too. But proceed cautiously — there’s danger ahead, as you’ll see. How Do I Know Where This Relationship is Heading?I’ve been seeing a guy for about three weeks, and I feel like it’s going to be pretty serious. After the first two dates, we’ve been seeing each other a lot. Last week, we got together twice during the week and twice on the weekend. I’d like to talk about where this is headed, but I don’t want to scare him away. I just want to make sure we’re both on the same page about where we are, whether we’re seeing other people, and where this might go. What’s he thinking? He’s thinking that, three weeks into dating, he doesn’t want to have this conversation. To him, that’s a relationship birth announcement. Today, we welcome the birth of a beautiful committed couple, weighing in at eight dates, two movies, and six orgasms (five for him, one for her): It’s Bob and Cindy! Congratulations! It’s too formal, too official, too planned. And that formality serves as the fire extinguisher to the initial spark he’s been feeling. “The only thing worse than a woman who doesn’t show any interest after a few dates is a woman who shows too much,” says Anthony, 25. Terry, 32, adds: “Slow down. Please don’t tell us that you love us after three weeks.” Think of it this way. You know how you don’t like when he skips the foreplay and goes right to the sex? When you talk about the status of a relationship too early, it’s like skipping the foreplay of pursuit and going right to the private parts of commitment. If he’s seeing you four times a week, then it’s a good sign that your relationship is headed in the right direction. Just let him have some fun — and some mystery — while he’s getting there. How Do I Know When It’s Time to Tell Him my Feelings?I’ve been seeing a man for only two months. Perfect guy. He’s funny, has a great job, I love hanging out with him. We even took this great weekend vacation together and everything seemed to click. I just have this feeling that this is going to work, and I’m pretty sure he feels the same way. I don’t want to blow it, and while I obviously don’t want to pretend to be somebody that I’m not, I also don’t want to do anything that could jeopardize the relationship. Any hints for how to take things from here? Two months may seem like a blip on the relationship radar, but for some guys, that qualifies as a full-fledged era. At this point, men certainly want some honesty. “If she is more open with me, I’ll be more open with her, especially at the beginning when you’re both feeling each other out, emotionally,” says Warren, 33. But that comes with a caution. Feel free to be honest about your feelings, but don’t make assumptions about his. Don’t use the word us. At this stage, you’ll solidify your primo status if you talk about what you like about him, what you get out of a relationship with him, what turns you on about him. Us scares him; him excites him. (Yes, we’re our own favorite subject, but that’s just human nature.) It’s a way of saying you love the relationship while giving him the ego-boosting rush he craves — all without making him think you’re brushing up on the four Cs of diamond shopping. At this still-early stage, that’s a secret to tip-toeing between giving him permission to love and giving him a reason to leave. Should I Give Him an Ultimatum? My live-in boyfriend and I have been seeing each other for about a year and a half, living together for somewhere around six months. I’m 31 and my family is giving me a hard time — like I should just go ahead and move on if he’s not going to be the one because I’m wasting time. My best friend even says to me that there’s no way he’s going to marry me because he’s getting all the sex of a nonmarried relationship without the commitment. I’ve debated a lot about giving him an ultimatum or a deadline, but something tells me that’s a bad idea. How will I know if he’s ever going to be ready to make the next step? You may think that men are afraid of the marriage commitment because we want to leave options open, because we’re waiting for something better, or because we fear it’ll be the official end of hot-tub sex. Jay, 30, says a man’s hesitation isn’t about indifference; it’s actually the opposite. “Men are just as unsure about the relationship thing as women,” he says. “I’m getting married in a couple months to a woman I love deeply, who I know will be a fantastic wife and mother to my future children. Is she my soul mate? Tough question, but if not, she’s pretty darn close.” When we decide we want to be married, we want to do the right thing — for both of us. So should you give him an ultimatum? I don’t think so. If you’ve been honest with him about your feelings for him — for him, not for “the relationship” — then you’re probably at the point in your relationship where you should be able to ask him straight up about his feelings for you. If he can’t tell you what he thinks and what he feels, well, that’s probably your answer. How to Drop A Few Quick Pounds In Less Than A Week So You Can Wear Your Favorite Jeans

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

By Gregg Hall Different ways to lose weight is a major subject of magazines, television shows and advertisements. Many people wait until they have an important social event to attend before trying, so they need ways to shed pounds quickly. There are ways to lose weight quickly so that you will get you ready in time for your event. One of the important things to do when trying to lose weight is to consume plenty of protein. Protein keeps the body from feeling hungry and going in to “famine” mode, storing fat instead of decreasing it. Eating protein every three hours will keep you from being hungry. It’s also important to have several ounces before you go to bed, so your body will continue to not store fat while you sleep. Be sure to eat lean protein, like fish or lean cuts of meat. Chicken breast works well as does beans and eggs. You can also purchase a protein supplement in a tasty shake or bar. This will add variety and satisfy your sweet tooth as well. Another great way to take off the pounds is to drink more water. Many people are dehydrated and don’t know it, so the body will hoard four to six pounds of water to make up for the deficit. By drinking lots of water, the body will stop storing so much and you will be able to lose four pounds of water weight alone. Instead of eating three large meals a day, eat a lot of smaller meals throughout the day. This will also keep your body from storing fat due to hunger. It will also speed up your metabolism and because you won’t be hungry, you will take in less calories during the course of the day. It’s recommended that we exercise at least 30 minutes a day. To lose weight quickly, try to increase the time to 2 hours per day. In order to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you consume, so increasing your exercise will do just that. Lastly, try to reduce the amount of carbohydrates that you take in. It takes more carbs than protein to feel full and carbs are considered empty calories. By increasing your intake of protein, and lessening that of carbs, you can burn off the fat faster. Keep in mind that these are tips that will get you off to a good start but you should always be cautious when starting any kind of diet. It’s been proven that the weight lost quickly in a week could very well be regained in a little as three weeks and then you will have to start all over again. For lasting weight loss, be prepared to take the time and effort required to achieve and maintain your goals. Gregg Hall is an author living in Navarre Florida. Home Remedy for Herpes - Cold Sore Symptom

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

By Dee Cohen A few ideas on home remedy for herpes treatmentsthat are effective and will stop the outbreaklength of time are available. For those of you who suffer from cold sores (herpes) then you will be familiar with the discomfort and painful blisters that an outbreak brings to you. So finding a home remedy for herpes is of the utmost importance to you especially when you become aware that an outbreak is imminent. Often the signs of a cold sore occuring is a tingling sensation on your lip and then you will feel a small hard spot that accompanies the tingling and then in a day or 2 a painful, ugly blister will have appeared on your lip and be there for a week or more. Cold sores are normally caused by the Herpes Simplex 1 virus but some may be caused by the Herpes Simplex 2 virus (which is more commonly associated with genital herpes). People can get herpes from someone who is infected with the virus and who has an active blister, you may also get them from sharing the same towel, eating utensils or drinking from the same glass or cup. In fact you may contract it from any thing that the other person who has an infected lesion has come in to contact with. Below are a number of home remedy for herpes treatments which have been shown to effectively treat the symptoms as well as the length of the outbreak. However if you are already being prescribed with some form of medication by your doctor then talk to him before you try any of these home remedies and even talk to him if you are not on prescribed medication. 1. Lemon Balm - This has antiviral properties and will help to reduce the healing time to around 5 days. It has also been found that it helps to reduce the frequency of new outbreaks occuring. 2. Warm Tea Bags - Press a warm tea bag against the blister can help to bring much needed pain relieve to a sufferer. 3. Witch Hazel - This has been proven to help relieve the painful symptoms which are associated with herpes. 4. Lysine - An amino acid that is used make protein which will help boost a persons immune system. Unfortunately our body can not make lysine so we have to obtain through the food we eat or by taking lysine supplements. 5. Reishi - This is a type of mushroom which is commonly used in Asian medicine to strengthen a person’s immune system and it has also been found that it helps to control the spread of the herpes virus. It can be taken either in powder or supplement form. 6. Resveratrol Cream - This is made from red grapes and can be applied directly to the infection site and is affective at suppressing the herpes virus as well as the outbreak of cold sores. 7. Ice - Is a good way of relieving the pain that is associated with cold sores and the herpes virus. All you need to do is just gently press an ice cube against the area infected for instant relief. But in addition to these home remedy for herpes treatments you should also look at your diet as this plays an important part in control cold sores and the herpes virus. For instanceI often find peanut butter a problem due to the aminoacid composition. What is a Reverse Email Search?

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

By Amit Mehta So somebody has contacted you; he/she has provided an email address or an instant messenger user name but you have no idea who it belongs to. Well, then it’s time to conduct a reverse email search! A reverse email search scans an array of consumer, Internet and email databases as well as publicly available records to determine if a connection can be found between an email address and a name or address of a specific individual. If there is more than one name associated with the email address you have, then this will be revealed by the reverse email search too. Any user of the Internet leaves a trail behind that makes a reverse email search possible. For instance, keying in information in various websites may point to your identity, while your IP address often reveals your location. This information could be used by anyone (sometimes, unfortunately, for detrimental ends such as identity fraud and theft). So now that you know that a reverse email search is so easy and effortless to do, it would be wise to exercise caution with the websites you visit and the information that your reveal about yourself. Why Conduct a Reverse Email Search One reason why you might conduct a reverse email search is if you receive tons of junk and spam email in your Inbox. Sometimes, these online messages carry viruses, spyware and bugs that damage your personal computer or track your online activities. As such, finding out the sender of these emails will help you in requesting that your name be taken off their distribution lists. And if push comes to shove, you can file a complaint with authorities and provide them the real identify of the party sending you junk email. Another reason for doing a reverse email search is to check the validity of an email address. Over time, it is likely that an email address is no longer in use and will be closed and discontinued. However, somebody may tap into this email address without the original owner knowing it and use it for their own purposes. In some occasions, the email address may even be assigned to a new user and performing a reverse email search delivers the certainty that you are sending your email to the intended recipient. This is extremely important if you are sending over confidential documents. There is no better medium to do a reverse email search than online since all the resources are already on the Internet. The likelihood that a reverse email search can be conducted manually through offline databases is almost like searching for a needle in a haystack. This is because the filtering and scanning capabilities of an online reverse email search remain unsurpassed compared to other kinds of database searches that are conducted without the aid of the Internet. So, what email address do you want to verify today? Want to Know the Top Sites for Reverse Email Search? The Surprising Secret of Getting Love from Another

Monday, January 14th, 2008

By Barbara Rose, Ph.D. As a self-loving person, you will recognize that you cannot, ever, make someone else love you, be good to you, be your friend, or be there for you. No matter how hard you try, and especially when you try, you cannot force love, friendship, or caring from another person. Have you ever felt someone else wanted you to love him or her? No matter what that person did or how hard he or she tried, did it work? No. It did not. As we all know, chemistry between two people cannot be created or destroyed. Physical chemistry is either there or it is not. But the physical relationship between two people is not the same as love. What is this perplexing phenomenon that has plagued man and woman through the centuries? What is love? Where does it come from? It comes from being yourself. Loving yourself. Finding honor, respect, and joy in, of, and because of yourself. Love comes when you awaken your interests, passions, and joys; when you use your talents and abilities to achieve your goals; when you thrive in areas you have not yet dreamed of; when you dare to dream even more. Love is to be your own best friend. To need you. To depend on you, to honor, respect, adore, obey, cherish, and love you. That is the key! The key is you, not the other. If the other also loved him- or herself, there would be no insincerity, lying, manipulation, fear, jealousy, degradation, abuse, cheating, or fighting. There would be differences of opinion and differences in preference or perspective, but not war between the other and you. There would be a sweet, magnetic chemistry. Then there would be friendship. In this friendship between two people who love, respect, and understand themselves there would be honesty with each other. People would not hold back their real feelings because to do so would be to lie to themselves as well as to the other. People would not stop a meaningful activity simply because someone called them for a date. The date would be set for another time. People would not be upset or jump to melodramatic, illogical conclusions just because they have not heard from a special someone for a few days. They would hope all is fine with the other person and would trust that they will be in touch when the time is right. People would not feel they have to be with each other simply because the calendar says its Friday or Saturday. There would, however, be regard for each others feelings, and both would assume that if they would like to get together, then it would be more appropriate to make tentative plans than no plans at all. In our society, it is no secret, no surprise at all, that when two people start to date, all kinds of expectations arise; all kinds of games are brought into play. No wonder there are so many people home alone at night. Who needs the games; who wants the insincerity? Nobody! The key word here is “want.” You have to want nothing. You have to be everything, for you. When you have grown and evolved enough to be your own dearest and best friend, and when you have grown and evolved enough to encourage another to do whatever he or she needs to do for happiness or fulfillment, that is when you can be sure the special person in your life will be the mirror image of you. That person will play with you and challenge you to be your very best. That person will honor himself and understand his own perspective, feelings, beliefs, attitudes, principles, preferences, and desires. And that person will naturally love, honor, and understand you. When you let go of all of the wanting, the longing, the desperation, the agonizing, and the fear, you find something wonderful and magical happens: you have it. You have love. Stop trying; start being.Stop doing everything to get that other person. Start being everything you want to be for you, and you will find that person will one day open his eyes and see that you are the one hes been searching for all along. This is what it means to let go, to move on. You dont throw your love out the window; to the contrary, you throw out your focus on loving the other. And you fill that void with love of self. When you see yourself as the source of your own pleasure, you do not need it to come from another. As this need vanishes, you become even more desirable than you would be if you were at another persons beck and call. For how can people desire that which they have, and how can they strive to attain the level of intimacy they deserve if it is given to them so freely, so easily, without having been earned? When you work toward a mutual, beneficial relationship, you both bring and contribute your gift of self to the union. Whether it is for a day, a year, a decade, or a lifetime, each person contributes the very essence of himself or herself. You each already know exactly where you stand, what behaviors you will accept, and which ones you will not put up with. Copyright by Barbara Rose, All Rights Reserved. The Healing Arts: 18 Things Healers Learn, #4; There Are Only Lessons

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

By Russ Reina Success and failure are only ideas. What looks, in one moment, to be a huge success, can easily take on the odor of failure. Success for one can often be interpreted, by another, as that persons biggest failure. So much depends upon ones own interpretation of the events. If you look hard enough, you will always find ways to turn one into the other. Traditional Native American craftspeople often integrate a flaw into the artistic patterns they work with. It is to remind them and others there is nothing that is perfect. Within the context of these imperfections, perfection is attained. Perhaps the power of the flaw is to reflect the perfect concept of balance all is ever-changing. Things are as they are, and no matter how we try to deny it, every moment in our life depends on the ones that precede it; every moment is a foundational building block upon which the others that follow rely. Our wiring makes it possible for us to apply one moment to the next. But a moment is alive. It is always shifting, changing, building up or breaking down, and perhaps, most important, has no judgment of itself. It simply is. By understanding and accepting the nature of the moment, we can come to terms with our role in it: The most we can do is to respond honestly to it, apply what weve picked up from the moments before it and use them all to the best of our ability. And, of course, there will always be something we missed. That is called a lesson. There are no moments without lessons. In the healing arts sometimes these lessons are excruciating. Death itself is a prime example. Death makes way for new life. Period. Because everything will die, the healer must recognize death as a form of healing, for it, too, is a reflection of a circle coming to completion. The lesson here is that there is nothing living on this earth that has not sprung from death. A real tough extension of that is that it really seems especially for those who work in critical care areas that they are used in some way to be agents of death. Many people in the healing arts have been in situations where, to their total exasperation they discover that every action they took, every decision they made, seemed to contribute to the demise of the person who was in their care. And then, from the vantage point of hindsight, it can be seen that the ripple effects of what were deemed to be destructive moments actually contributed significantly to a movement toward a much greater good. The same hand of God that intervenes to work through us to preserve or protect life also works through us to bring it to its conclusion. Most of the time, we dont notice it, and when we do, we do everything in our power to deny it. But for those working in the healing arts, where there are so few working on so many, it is almost inevitable that this sense of agentry both for life AND death be experienced. The trick is to learn how to review and evaluate your past performance no matter how extreme — without agonizing over it. It is in the agonizing over circumstances that we lose the present moment. In our headlong drive to qualify and quantify and judge each moment that has passed, we miss the moment that is. We do it all the time. That, perhaps, is the most important lesson of them all; moments are too few and precious to squander. What sets us off balance, more than anything else, is getting locked into the failure of the moment that just passed and, as a result, we miss a string of crucial moments that follow. On one level, this is a disruption of the free passage, or movement, of energy. Our jobs, as healers, is to keep that passage clear. Moments are simply things that happen. First this. Now this. Now this. Now this. Judgment is all about living in the that and missing the this. By integrating conscious understanding that lessons are all there are, you can free yourself to have many more moments that are connected with each other. Your unbroken connection to each moment is, like an untwisted, un-nicked water hose, the vehicle through which healing energy flows. Solar Pumps And Solar Lights For Ponds

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

By Mike Guista As the president of a company that sells a lot of fountain pumps, and who also receives a lot of OEM inquiries, I’ve been around the block on solar pumps. They seem like such a great idea. No wiring needed! No electric bill! I tried to sell solar pumps to major fountain manufacturers but never got a sample to one of them that could pass muster. Many customers believe that we are just too lazy to try solar, or we don’t want to cut into a 110-volt market that is already doing well. But the truth of the matter is that solar still runs into quite a few problems, not the least of which has been, in my experience, not enough sunlight! You see, most of the solar pumps out there are powered by solar panels (many of them quite good quality, by the way) that require direct sunlight in order to work. That means that they go on and off all day long, depending on whether a cloud is passing, where the sun is in reference to the panel, and so forth. Some do have batteries in them, for sure, but these units are expensive and also do not pump very much water at very high of head. The truth of the matter is that solar is a lot better idea conceptually than it is in the world when tested. Think of it this way. Those little solar lights in the yard that are collecting sunlight all day burn only 8-10 hours at night. They typically have enough power to light two tiny LED bulbs. Worse yet, when it comes to pumps, the DC pumps used for solar fountains don’t last the kind of hours that a normal magnetic rotor pump lasts. This is too bad. We have really wanted solar to work, but it has so far not panned out, not well anyway. We really caught on to this when we noticed that some companies were taking credit cards for everyting but their solar pumps. This means to us that they do not want to have to be faced with chargebacks and returns. Customers are too often disappointed in the product and demand their money back including shipping both ways. It gets to be too much. So here is what we have come to suggest to customers: think modestly. If you really want a solar pump, perhaps think of it as a novelty item as much as anything. And also make sure you have somewhere to hide the solar panel. In other words, do not plan to install a solar fountain in your front yard. The solar panels have to be put in direct sun and are easy targets for thieves. They are as easy to steal as a flower or leaf on the lawn. So plan someplace in the backyard in full sun and don’t get bothered if the thing goes off and on all day. Also, put a pump in a fountain that requires low head (height of pumping) and not much volume (from 30-80 gallons per hour maxiumum usually). Or better yet, just use solar lights. They work and they are cute. Floating solar pond lights are also available these days. These can be “thrown” on top of a pond or pool and work the same as in-the-lawn solar fixtures. The only difference, and this is a major one, they float! They are usually available in different colors for seasonal effects (red, white, and blue for July 4, for example). The Hero’s Journey: Bringing Your Russian Fiance Home

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

By John Kunkle The journey you have been on is one that has required you to be resourceful, intelligent, patient, tolerant, tenacious, and most of all persistent. You have had to maintain your resolve over a long period of time. But you have reached your goal. You are courageous. Not many men have attempted your journey and far fewer have succeeded. You are a man among men. Whether you know it or not, your journey has brought the best out in you. You are now a lion! You have traversed half way across the world, through hostile climates, desolate hotel rooms, and strange lands. You have braved strange food, bad water, bad liquor, and bad company. You have endured rough traveling and danger lurking. You have overcome foreign tongues, unusual customs, and other obstacles to your success. You have defeated overbearing bureaucrats, passport control officers, customs agents, taxi drivers, and other conniving thieves attempting to steal your resources or block your advance. You have out thought and out maneuvered unscrupulous marriage agency owners, scam artists, and gold-diggers. You have braved loneliness and despair, pushing on when hope was only a passing dream. You have garnered your prize and brought her home, past the clutches of obstinate embassy personnel, desperate immigration authorities, nay saying acquaintances, and incompetent attorneys. You now have your reward. You place her upon the pedestal where she belongs. You admire her beauty. You are proud of her education and intelligence. You wonder at the immaculate way she dresses and grooms herself. You marvel at her grace as she takes charge of your household. You worship her! And she is YOURS! To honor and cherish. Till death do you part! You take your place of honor. You have returned from the Heros Journey. Successful. You have returned with your mission accomplished, like the knights of old. Remember the words Shakespeare put in the mouth of Henry V prior to the Battle of Agincourt: If we are marked to die, we are enough to do our country loss; and if to live, the fewer men, the greater share of honourBe in their flowing cups freshly remembered. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall neer go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. Henry V, Act 4, Scene 3 You stand before the other knights who have already returned from their Heros Journey. You kneel before their leader. He places the flat blade of the sword upon your shoulder. First right. Then left. Then right again. The other men raise their glasses. A toast. The men say in unison: Our glasses raised. Our pride conveyed. Here is to our brother. Another knight has joined the Round Table. John has been successfully married to a Belarussian wife for over five years. He has traveled extensively through Russia and other CIS countries. He will tell you why you should consider Russian women, how to meet them, how to bring your special woman home, and how to survive married life.http://www.russian-luv.com/time.html Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=John_Kunkle http://EzineArticles.com/?The-Heros-Journey:–Bringing-Your-Russian-Fiance-Home&id=355735 buy generic xanax pharmacy xanax mindful musings a cheap vicodin xanax prescription buy xanax in canada

Using Chinese Herbs For Health

Monday, January 7th, 2008

By Michelle Bery The history of Chinese herbs used for medicinal purposes dates back to sometime between 800 and 200 BC with the publication of Huang Di Nei Jing - The Yellow Emperors Classic of Internal Medicine. At this time, a combination of 28 separate Chinese herbs had been discovered to have great healing power and the combination of many of these are still in existence today. By around 500 AD, Chinese herbs had been sorted into a classification system that helped guide their use depending on the particular situation. Superior herbs were used to help sustain health much as we use herbal and vitamin supplements today; middle herbs were used to treat illness; and inferior herbs were used to cure disease. Chinese herbs have been credited with successfully treating everything from acne to infertility. In todays world, where traditional medicine tends to focus on the methods employed in Western medicine, much of the uses of Chinese herbs are largely passed over. But for those who look towards non-traditional medicine as a means of recovering health or even as a supplement to traditional medical care, they will find the benefits of Chinese herbs to be rooted in ancient knowledge and a history of success. Chinese herbs can be found in a variety of places including medical offices following the Eastern practice of medicine, Asian markets, and even online. But the use of Chinese herbs, while most often safe, should be used under the guidance of a medical professional and after extensive research has been performed. If there is an interest in using Chinese herbs to help supplement health or treat an existing condition, it is best to research those herbs that have shown success in these particular instances. Seek out a medical professional or someone well-versed in the use of Chinese herbs to determine the best way to proceed. When Chinese herbs are used in conjunction with education, preparedness, and medical supervision, they can be a fantastic tool to achieving overall, natural health.
